CHILI ROBERT CAPON

"The world's simplest and best"

I haven't made this version of chili, but clearly anything with 3 parts red pepper to 1 part salt is hotter than blazes.

For the chili powder:
Combine 1 part each salt, garlic powder, and cumin with 3 parts each red pepper, oregano, and paprika. Pound in a mortar or pulverize in a blender.*

For the chili:
Put bite-sized chunks of lean beef in a bowl and mix with a lot of chili powder. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pot, stir meat around in it until seared; add a can of beef bouillon. Cook until meat is very tender; serve with rice and beans.

You can, if you like, have bowls of freshly chopped green onion and grated cheddar cheese on the side.
