Strawberry Bavarian Cream

     Another light ending for a heavy meal. And of course it has already occurred to you that you can use frozen berries when the fresh ones are not in season, though it seems to me that the frozen strawberries are not quite as good as the fresh. You've also realized that frozen raspberries or other fruits can be substituted for the strawberries.

Ingredients:

1 cup pureed fresh sweet strawberries
1 cup plain yogurt or no-fat sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 teaspoons sugar, if needed
1 oz. packet unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup boiling water

    Fold strawberries into yogurt or sour cream; add vanilla and sugar to taste. Dissolve gelatin in water; fold into strawberry mixture, being sure it is well distributed. Spoon into molds and refrigerate 1 hour or until set.
